Digital X-Rays
If you need x-rays, our Digital X-Ray technology can reduce exposure by as much as 90%. The images appear in less than five seconds on the treatment room computer monitor and can be enlarged for easier viewing. They show more detail than traditional x-rays, can be adjusted for clarity and accuracy. You will appreciate this huge step forward in patient safety and efficiency.
Micro-Dentistry
The earlier we can detect cavities, the less intrusive treatment is. We utilize exciting new technology that allows us to find previously undetectable cavities on the chewing surfaces of your back teeth in their earliest stages. The DIAGNOdent® is a small, portable laser unit that alerts us with an audible signal and a numerical readout, providing information about the decay. We can detect and treat cavities the size of a pinhole using this safe laser.
Cosmetic Dentistry Planning
Dr. Bell uses clinical information to assess your needs. Combined with computer imaging, the information can be shared with you and used as the guide for final treatment. Dr. Bell has had extensive training and experience so that we can assure you the results will be beautiful!
Intraoral Camera
If you want you to be involved in the dental process, we can show you the current conditions in your mouth using a tiny camera. The images are then displayed on a video screen for educational purposes. We understand that some patients do not want to view this. It is always your option. Ask Dr. Bell or your hygienist if you are interested.
Dental Education System
The Caesy™ Educational System is the most advanced system available. If you want to see how a procedure is done, we can play a short video illustration to help you understand. The Smile Channel, which is available in our reception room, gives interesting dental facts and information in terms a patient can easily understand.
Sedation Dentistry
Our Bedford dental office is designed with your comfort and relaxation in mind. We offer sedation dentistry for a very relaxing and anxiety-free experience. With oral sedation using just a small pill, you can complete years of dental treatment in as little as one visit and many people have almost no recollection of the procedure.
We also offer nitrous oxide sedation. Best known as “laughing gas,” nitrous oxide is a light form of sedation that is very safe, effective, works quickly and wears off quickly - so you can get back to your daily routine after your dental visit.
